aaa-reports! support for Network Admission Control

What is NAC?
Protecting your network..
Viruses and worms continue to disrupt businesses, resulting in downtime, recovery costs, continual patching, public liabilities, loss of revenue, and more. The speed at which the latest attacks spread means that networks are now hit with a virus or worm before security updates can be applied to vulnerable systems, and often, before updates can even be written and distributed by security vendors.

Network Admission Control (NAC) is an industry-wide collaboration effort led by Cisco Systems to help ensure that every endpoint complies with network security policies before being granted access. NAC provides network access to endpoint devices that fully comply with established security policy, while helping to ensure that noncompliant devices are denied access, placed in quarantine for remediation, or given restricted access to resources.

NAC is part of the Self-Defending Network, a Cisco initiative designed to integrate security intelligence and services into the fabric of the network.
how aaa-reports! supports NAC

An integral part of NAC is system reporting and analysis, to provide an audit trail of the posture compliance and authorization actions taken by the system. As a Cisco Technology Developer Program partner, extraxi worked closely with the NAC program team to ensure our market leading aaa-reports! delivers the features NAC customers require.

Given the significant array of new technologies utilized by NAC it is imperative to monitor the system right from early lab trials through to widespread rollout. Because the role played by Cisco Secure ACS in NAC is central, it is vital to have a reporting product that has a tight focus and high coverage of ACS. This helps with everything fault diagnosis and trouble shooting to audit.
